Modern cars need stable and secure starter batteries due to the multitude of electronic modules. Cars equipped with the START-STOP system (automatic engine shut-off when the traffic light is stopped) need batteries that can withstand multiple starts and microcycles. For the high-end cars with the START-STOP system, starter batteries using AGM technology are mainly used. For middle and low class cars, EFB starter batteries are used.
